Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, depart Kigali and travel north through Rwanda's spectacular countryside toward Volcanoes National Park.

The drive showcases rolling green hills, terraced farms, charming villages, and breathtaking mountain scenery that has earned Rwanda its famous nickname, "The Land of a Thousand Hills."

Upon arrival near the park, check into your lodge before enjoying a relaxed afternoon.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Rise early for breakfast before transferring to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration and a detailed briefing by park rangers.

You'll then be assigned a gorilla family based on your fitness level before beginning one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife experiences.

Guided by expert trackers, hike through bamboo forests and volcanic slopes in search of endangered mountain gorillas.

Once located, spend a magical hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, groom, play, and interact naturally within their family groups.

After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and celebration of this once-in-a-lifetime achievement.

Golden Monkey Trekking & Second Gorilla Trekking

Begin another exciting day inside Volcanoes National Park.

Depending on permit availability and your chosen itinerary, enjoy an early morning golden monkey trekking experience.

These playful, colorful primates are highly active and provide fantastic opportunities for wildlife photography as they leap among bamboo forests.

Later, embark on your second gorilla trekking adventure with a different gorilla family.

Every trek offers unique landscapes, behaviors, and unforgettable encounters, allowing you to appreciate the incredible diversity among Rwanda's mountain gorilla groups.

 Verified Unforgettable safari and tour of Murchison Falls! Apollo took my family and I to a wonderful Safari and tour of Murchison falls. I have also travelled with him by myself before. Apollo is kind, funny and a meticulous planner. He is punctual, has excellent local contacts, and superb knowledge of wildlife and culture. Asking him a question is like consulting an encyclopedia, he always knows! Apollo took us for an unforgettable experience in Murchison falls. He arranged transport, accomodation, dining, and tours at a very fair price. During the safari we were able to tour the park almost alone, and thanks to Apollos knowledge of good spots we got to see many rare animals. I would recommend Apollo and Big Predator Tours to anyone wanting to visit Ugandas parks, not just Murchison falls. You won't regret it!

 Verified Very good!! When we were in Uganda, we went for two weekends with Apollo on safari. We saw queen Elizabeth national park, Kibale forest, Murchison falls and ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Both times we had a wonderfull experience! Apollo is very trustworthy and everything was organized very good. The best part was chimpanzees tracking in Kibale forest. We also saw lions, elephants, giraffe, rhino's and lots of other animals.

 Verified Amazing safari, hikes and more! Apollo is an amazing organiser and guide. We went on two safari's with him. One to Queen Elisabeth Park and one to Murchison falls. Next to the amazing game drives we did in the parks, he also organised chimpansee tracking, a boat safari cruise and a hike up to the Falls. Because of the knowledge of Apollo about the best views, we saw a lot of animals and beautiful nature. Another thing why we booked him the second time is because the accomodation, food, safety and permits were all organised really well, which I think is also really important.

 Verified Amazing trip Our trip was amazing! We went on a Safari to Queen Elizabeth and did chimpansee tracking in Kibale with Apollo and it really exceeded our expectations. The transportation, meals and accommodation were all very well organized and the whole experience really left us speechless. we also went to Murchison falls National park and to the Ziwa rhino sanctuary!
