This 3-Day Accessible Gorilla & Wildlife Safari is designed for travelers with mobility needs who want to experience Uganda's remarkable forest landscapes and wildlife while receiving personalized travel support. Starting and ending in Entebbe, the journey focuses on Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with arrangements tailored to the traveler's mobility, comfort, and preferred level of assistance.
Accessibility requirements vary from traveler to traveler. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi can involve steep slopes, uneven ground, mud, and extended periods of walking. Therefore, the itinerary should be planned around the guest's individual mobility requirements, with advance discussions about available trekking assistance, suitable accommodation, vehicle access, and realistic travel times. Accessible accommodation and a suitable gorilla trekking arrangement must be confirmed before booking. A standard gorilla trek should not automatically be described as wheelchair-accessible.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet your safari representative for a private transfer to your accommodation or onward departure toward Bwindi, depending on your arrival time and the confirmed travel plan. Before the journey, your guide should confirm your mobility requirements, luggage arrangements, seating needs, and any assistance required when entering or exiting the vehicle.
For a three-day itinerary, reaching Bwindi by road on the first day can involve a long drive. A domestic flight toward a suitable airstrip may reduce road travel, subject to flight availability, baggage requirements, and the accessibility of the onward transfer. The best option should be agreed upon before travel.
Meals: Dinner, depending on arrival time and selected accommodation.
Transport: Private 4x4 vehicle; domestic flight may be considered if arranged.
Distance & Time: Entebbe to the Bwindi region is approximately 450–550 km by road, often around 8–11 hours depending on the route and lodge location. A flight plus road transfer may shorten the journey.

After breakfast, meet your guide to review the day's activity and confirm that the planned experience matches your mobility needs. If a gorilla trekking permit has been secured and the park and operator confirm an appropriate arrangement, proceed with the trek and the agreed level of assistance. Trekking conditions can be demanding, and a porter or other available assistance should be arranged in advance where suitable.
If the trek is not practical for your mobility needs, discuss alternatives before departure, such as a suitable guided nature experience or a cultural visit in the surrounding area. These alternatives are not substitutes for seeing mountain gorillas, but they can provide a rewarding forest-region experience without undertaking unsuitable terrain.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Transport: Private vehicle for local transfers; walking or trekking only where suitable and agreed.
Distance & Time: Local driving varies by lodge and activity. Gorilla trekking can take several hours, depending on the gorilla family's location and forest conditions.

Enjoy breakfast before beginning the return journey to Entebbe. Your guide should allow time for comfort breaks and coordinate the departure according to your mobility needs and onward flight schedule.
Because the road journey can be lengthy, a domestic flight from a suitable airstrip may be preferable where available and accessible. For guests departing internationally on the same day, flight connections and transfer times should be confirmed carefully. An additional overnight stay may be advisable if the international departure time does not allow a comfortable margin.
Meals: Breakfast; lunch depending on the schedule.

Unforgettable safari and tour of Murchison Falls! Apollo took my family and I to a wonderful Safari and tour of Murchison falls. I have also travelled with him by myself before. Apollo is kind, funny and a meticulous planner. He is punctual, has excellent local contacts, and superb knowledge of wildlife and culture. Asking him a question is like consulting an encyclopedia, he always knows! Apollo took us for an unforgettable experience in Murchison falls. He arranged transport, accomodation, dining, and tours at a very fair price. During the safari we were able to tour the park almost alone, and thanks to Apollos knowledge of good spots we got to see many rare animals. I would recommend Apollo and Big Predator Tours to anyone wanting to visit Ugandas parks, not just Murchison falls. You won't regret it!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Very good!! When we were in Uganda, we went for two weekends with Apollo on safari. We saw queen Elizabeth national park, Kibale forest, Murchison falls and ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Both times we had a wonderfull experience! Apollo is very trustworthy and everything was organized very good. The best part was chimpanzees tracking in Kibale forest. We also saw lions, elephants, giraffe, rhino's and lots of other animals.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Amazing safari, hikes and more! Apollo is an amazing organiser and guide. We went on two safari's with him. One to Queen Elisabeth Park and one to Murchison falls. Next to the amazing game drives we did in the parks, he also organised chimpansee tracking, a boat safari cruise and a hike up to the Falls. Because of the knowledge of Apollo about the best views, we saw a lot of animals and beautiful nature. Another thing why we booked him the second time is because the accomodation, food, safety and permits were all organised really well, which I think is also really important.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Game changer! We had an amazing time! Apollo is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and surroundings and is very enthusiastic all round, he gave us a tour specific to our needs. Apollo was also friendly enough to set us up completely with a tour and guide for the next day in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our experience wouldn't have been the same without him!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()
