Why Visit Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve offers a very different safari experience from Kenya’s famous southern parks. Its dry riverbeds, rugged hills, acacia woodland and semi-arid landscapes create a distinctive northern Kenya setting.

The reserve is especially known for the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and Beisa oryx. Elephants are also a major attraction, while lions, leopards, cheetahs and other predators add classic safari appeal.

Samburu is a strong choice for travellers who want fewer crowds, unusual wildlife and a more rugged northern Kenya experience.
