This 8-day Kenya Wildlife Safari is designed for travelers who want more than a conventional Big Five holiday.
The journey combines some of Kenya's most rewarding wildlife experiences, from rare northern species and pioneering conservation projects to rhino-rich landscapes, legendary predator territory, and peaceful lakeside surroundings.
It offers a carefully balanced progression from wildlife discovery and conservation to classic safari viewing and relaxation.
Traveling in a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with an experienced English-speaking driver-guide, you will enjoy game drives at carefully selected destinations while having time to appreciate Kenya's changing landscapes.
The route moves from the rugged northern frontier through the wildlife-rich Laikipia region and Great Rift Valley before reaching the famous savannahs of the Mara and the tranquil surroundings of Lake Naivasha.
This makes the safari particularly suitable for travelers who want variety without sacrificing comfort, wildlife time, or meaningful conservation experiences.
This safari stands out because it does not rely on one wildlife destination. It combines specialized northern wildlife, conservation, rhino encounters, Big Five viewing, iconic savannah landscapes, and a relaxed lakeside finish into one well-rounded journey.
You also spend enough time in the major wildlife areas to experience both afternoon and full-day game drives rather than simply passing through. The inclusion of conservation experiences adds another dimension, allowing you to understand how Kenya protects some of its most threatened species while still enjoying exceptional wildlife viewing.

Your safari begins with an early morning collection from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Travel north through Kenya's fertile central highlands, passing coffee and tea-growing areas before crossing the Equator and entering the drier landscapes of northern Kenya.
The scenery changes dramatically as the green highlands give way to rugged hills, acacia vegetation, and semi-arid plains.
Arrive at your lodge around lunchtime for check-in and some time to relax before your first afternoon game drive.
Explore the area around the Ewaso Nyiro River, one of the region's most important sources of water, in search of the Samburu Special Five—Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk—alongside elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife. Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and your overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, set out with packed picnic lunches for a full-day wildlife adventure.
Follow the Ewaso Nyiro River and explore a mixture of riverine vegetation, open plains, rocky terrain, and acacia woodland, all of which support a remarkable concentration of wildlife in an otherwise dry environment.
Your guide will focus on finding the region's distinctive species while also looking for predators and larger mammals.
Expect opportunities to see elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing the game drive into the afternoon and returning to camp later in the day.

Arrive for lunch before heading out on an afternoon wildlife and conservation experience. Search for the Big Five while learning about innovative conservation work protecting endangered species.
A visit to the endangered species area provides an opportunity to learn about northern white rhino conservation, while the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary offers insight into the rescue and rehabilitation of chimpanzees.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, lions, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, and other wildlife while exploring the lakeshore, woodland, and open grassland habitats.

After lunch and check-in, enjoy your first afternoon game drive.
Explore the open savannah in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and many other species.

EXCELLENT Based on 9 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor Adam GVerified A tour of the Amabere caves and crater lakes Apollo is a great tour guide. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend him to anyone! The crater lakes were stunning.Posted on Tripadvisor Gustav LVerified Unforgettable safari and tour of Murchison Falls! Apollo took my family and I to a wonderful Safari and tour of Murchison falls. I have also travelled with him by myself before. Apollo is kind, funny and a meticulous planner. He is punctual, has excellent local contacts, and superb knowledge of wildlife and culture. Asking him a question is like consulting an encyclopedia, he always knows! Apollo took us for an unforgettable experience in Murchison falls. He arranged transport, accomodation, dining, and tours at a very fair price. During the safari we were able to tour the park almost alone, and thanks to Apollos knowledge of good spots we got to see many rare animals. I would recommend Apollo and Big Predator Tours to anyone wanting to visit Ugandas parks, not just Murchison falls. You won't regret it!Posted on Tripadvisor Jasmin KVerified Great experience I can easily recommend booking your safari and chimp trecking tour with Apollo. He and our driver are great guides and planned a perfect weekend trip to us according to our wishes. :)Posted on Tripadvisor Tourist11565699005Verified Recommended We loved the tour. Apollo and his friend are very kind and have organized the trip at best. We recommend them for a wonderful experience.Posted on Tripadvisor Pien KVerified Very good!! When we were in Uganda, we went for two weekends with Apollo on safari. We saw queen Elizabeth national park, Kibale forest, Murchison falls and ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Both times we had a wonderfull experience! Apollo is very trustworthy and everything was organized very good. The best part was chimpanzees tracking in Kibale forest. We also saw lions, elephants, giraffe, rhino's and lots of other animals.Posted on Tripadvisor Jill LVerified Amazing safari, hikes and more! Apollo is an amazing organiser and guide. We went on two safari's with him. One to Queen Elisabeth Park and one to Murchison falls. Next to the amazing game drives we did in the parks, he also organised chimpansee tracking, a boat safari cruise and a hike up to the Falls. Because of the knowledge of Apollo about the best views, we saw a lot of animals and beautiful nature. Another thing why we booked him the second time is because the accomodation, food, safety and permits were all organised really well, which I think is also really important.Posted on Tripadvisor idilay kVerified Amazing trip Our trip was amazing! We went on a Safari to Queen Elizabeth and did chimpansee tracking in Kibale with Apollo and it really exceeded our expectations. The transportation, meals and accommodation were all very well organized and the whole experience really left us speechless. we also went to Murchison falls National park and to the Ziwa rhino sanctuary!Posted on Tripadvisor Nander dVerified Game changer! We had an amazing time! Apollo is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and surroundings and is very enthusiastic all round, he gave us a tour specific to our needs. Apollo was also friendly enough to set us up completely with a tour and guide for the next day in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our experience wouldn't have been the same without him!Posted on Tripadvisor Allie NVerified Apollo walking us through the beautiful caves and waterfall! We had such a great time with Apollo!
