A Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary visit, wildlife drives in Murchison Falls National Park and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park are among the highlights of the 8-day. At Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will take part in game drives and wildlife safaris. Finally, you’ll visit Bwindi National Park for some thrilling gorilla trekking.

We will pick you up at the guest house in Entebbe or downtown Kampala at 8:00 am and transfer you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Rhinos became extinct in Uganda in the early 1980s and the Ziwa site is being used as a breeding site for the white rhinos. You will spend about 2 hours trekking the rhinos. Afterwards, we will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Main Destination: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Meals & Drinks Dinner (Breakfast & lunch not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
In the morning you will go for a game drive in the park to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will take a relaxing boat trip on the River Nile. Here you will have a chance to see crocodiles, hippos, and a range of rare birds. You will also see the point where the River Nile flows towards Lake Albert, one of the major highlights of this trip. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Murchison Falls. Main Destination: Murchison Falls National Park Accommodation: Budget lodge located inside Murchison Falls NP Meals & Drinks All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
This trip will take you to upper Murchison Falls National Park, where you have spectacular views of Murchison Falls along the Nile River. Unfortunately it’s no longer possible to hike to the top of the falls from downstream due to the very high levels of the Nile although the visit to the top of the falls by road is spectacular. After the top of the falls visit we will drive to Kibale National Park. The drive to Kibale National Park will go through the towns Hoima and Kyenjojo, and our newly appointed city of Fort Portal. There will be a scheduled stopover for lunch along the way. The drive should take about 6-7 hours. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Kibale National Park. Main Destination: Kibale National Park (Chimps) Accommodation: Budget lodge located just outside Kibale NP Meals & Drinks Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Starting in the morning at Kibale Forest National Park, you will go into the jungle to encounter chimpanzees and different species of monkeys like the red-tailed monkey, olive baboon and black and white colobus monkey. If trekking is completed early we can have a walk in the nearby Bigodi Wetlands in the afternoon. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park after the chimp trek at Kibale. Main Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park Accommodation: Budget lodge bordering Queen Elizabeth NP without fences Meals & Drinks All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
You will start the day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards, proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. On a lucky day, you may site leopards! We will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, join the Kazinga Channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. You will spot crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and bird species on the channel waters. Main Destination: Kazinga Channel (Queen Elizabeth NP) Accommodation: Budget lodge bordering Queen Elizabeth NP without fences Meals & Drinks: All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
We will start the journey early in the morning with Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park as our destination. Our drive takes us through Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way to Bwindi, we will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for its tree-climbing lions. Unlike their counterparts at the Kasenyi plains, the lions at Ishasha have found a way to climb the fig trees to enjoy the warm temperatures in the park. While the sighting of the tree-climbing lions is not 100% guaranteed, a stopover at Ishasha is worth a visit! The tour will take you through the stunning landscapes of western Uganda. You will arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon. Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorillas) Accommodation: Budget lodge located just outside Bwindi NP Meals & Drinks: All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
You will head to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park gate immediately after breakfast and be given a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct a presentation that covers the basics of what to expect during the gorilla trek. The gorilla trek can take a few hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. In the afternoon, you may consider doing a Batwa Cultural Tour and contributing to sustainable tourism efforts in the area. An extra payment of USD 30 is expected to support the Batwa community. Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorillas) Accommodation: Budget lodge located just outside Bwindi NP Meals & Drinks: Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
This will be the day to drive from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Entebbe or Kampala. The drive will follow the southwestern-Kampala route. The drive will take about 8-9 hours to go through western Uganda’s major towns of Kabale, Ntungamo, Mbarara, and Masaka. There will be a scheduled stopover at Mbarara city for lunch and at the Equator crossing for coffee or craft shopping. Main Destination: Entebbe Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour) Meals & Drinks: Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
